Web Services is marking its 4th anniversity of the Web Services Toolbox from Public Affairs. In celebration we are beginning the rollout of our new design. Phase 1, which is complete, is releasing a new Toolbox homepage and framework for all other pages. Phase 2 will consist of redesigning each of the tools for the new layout. One by one the tools will be released as they are complete.
Check out the new design at Web Services home page..
The Campus Web Templates
The templates above address the following accessibility concerns: use of skip navigation tags, use of headings, print and screen stylesheets, use of CSS for styling much of the content and an example of an ADA compliant data table. They've been created to work on a wide variety of platforms and browsers.
For further guidelines see the Illinois Center for Instructional Technology Accessibility (iCITA) best practices web site.
Web Development Guidelines
We've assembled some of the most basic resources and guidelines on everything from campus web navigation, to web site accessibility, advice on metatags, links to the free Google search implementation, and other useful stuff for campus webmasters.
